The Idle Time Band has been far from idle performing at charity events, clubs, and festivals to a growing number of ever-more loyal fans.

The Bluemont Concert Series, where we have entertained in the towns of Winchester, Luray, Culpeper, Warrenton, Haymarket and Colonial Beach. Bluemont has been presenting concerts since 1976 where families and friends gather on courthouse lawns for world-class performances.
ITB particularly enjoys participating in these events since we also have the chance play at a local retirement home or similar venue in town before or after each festival as a part of the Bluemont outreach to local communities.

Special Events including The Washington Food Bank's Annual Gala and Fools ALIVE festival and fundraiser to observe April Fool's Day and benefit ALIVE!'s (Alexandrians Involved Ecumenically) shelter and child development center, and programs providing emergency financial assistance for at-risk families.
Individual ITB members have performed at a wide variety of notable venues including the White House, The Kennedy Center, The Bluebird Cafe (Nashville), and Blues Alley. Festivals include the Alexandria Waterfront Festival and the King George Blues Festival.
Several of the band's members periodically perform with the Backyard Blues Band (www.backyardbluesband.us) which is available for double bookings at large events.
